New PSU making siren noise! Help!

I just installed a new Corsair VX 450W PSU. I thought that I did everything right (as i always do!). I just turned my the PC on and the lights came on and it started to boot up, but then a siren noise started and the system didn't boot. I turned the power off at the back to stop the siren.

So, what have I done wrong?

Plugged the PCI-E connector into the GFX card?

Do you mean the power into the GFX card? I did that.

Any other ideas?

what about both the power connectors on the mobo? (4/8 and 24)

sounds like you power supply is not happy?

would try unplug everything and replug it in just to make sure everything is securely in.
