New PSU question

Just got my new Tagan TG700-BZ which is pretty amazingly packaged, I mean a pair of gloves and screwdriver included in the toolbag of goodies! My god!

Anyway, on this PSU it has a grill at back were ON/OFF switch goes and a fan underneath, were er, the bottom of my Antec Nine Hundered case is.

Is this going to be ok? The fan is pointing at the floor of the case.

Hmmm. Help?

how do you mean? I've turned my psu upside down.
It's got a 120mm fan on the bottom of the psu, sucking in air from the bottom, then out the back. But My psu is located at the bottom of the case, So I just put it in upside down. So it know sucks air in from the top.

turn it !

I am pretty sure when you line up the mounting screws you will find it forces you to place it 'upside down' - the fan on the top. It seems to be the way the case is designed.

Hmmm. another problem.

OcUK advertise this PSU with the following connections :-

- M/B 20 + 4 :1
- ATX12V (4P) :1
- EPS12V (8P) :1
- Peripherals (4P) :6
- VGA (4P) :1
- FDD (4P) :1(4Pin*2)
- SATA (5P) :12
- PCI-E (6P) :2
- PCI-E (6+2P) :2
- Physic Card (6P): 2 (on board)
- Ground Wire :1 (on board)
- Combo-S2M: 4

But the PSU only has 1 x PCIE 8-pin and 1 x PCIE 6-pin, effectively ruling out SLI if I ever wanted it. Add to this the 8 x SATA connectors which I'm less bothered about but still!

Misleading advertising? Slightly peeved now tbh.

The way it fits in the fan is at the bottom of the case.

I'd be peeved too if it came with different to what was advertised. Speak to OCUK, perhaps they shipped the wrong one ?

hmm strange. Mine the fan is definitely facing up, and drawing air down and out.
