New PSU - Recommendation

I built a new rig a while back - everything was fine. Until recently I've been having annoying graphics card issues - tearing and lovely colourful blotches on startup, along with foreign characters (Yen, A with the two dots above (technical term), and upside down ?'s etc.)

Went to get the card RMA'd (through the help of Oc) and the first question they asked me was what PSU I was using.

This is a Hiper 480W. Which I'm told hasn't got the gravy to run my setup.

I thought nothing of the PSU, as when I was plotting the rig up, a few people said the PSU would run it fine. Not blaming anyone of course - just didn't strike me as a problem.

Anyway, I basically need suggestions on a new PSU.

Setup is as follows:

Gigabyte DS4
Intel Conroe E6600 (2.4)

Geil 2gb (2x1gb) 6400
Connect 3d X1900XT 512mb

74gb Raptor (16mb)
320 W/D (16mb) (7,200rpm)

Samsung 16x16 DVD/RW CDR/W
DVD CD/RW

Creative X-Fi

----

2 Satas (Hard drives)
2 IDE's (Opticals)
1 Power ..thing for the graphics card.
and also a molex for the motherboard.

I don't really have a clue about PSU's, so I know I could have a look through similar threads and probably get an answer - but I'd prefer to get it sorted individually. That way it won't re-occur.

The budget would be around £100. Also, what's the deal with the 'modular' power supplies? Is that just for 'tidiness' or something a bit more important? Although tidiness is important.

Apologies for the long post and thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Seasonic S12 600W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply (CA-002-SS)

Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK) (CA-005-CS)

FSP Sparkle FX600-GLN Epsilon 600W ATX2.0 PSU (CA-002-SK)

OCZ GameXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply (CA-018-OC)

Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-009-TG)

Any of them should get the job done. Most PSU's buy Seasonic, Corsair, FSP, OCZ, Tagan and Enermax are good quality.

Just to update this basically:

I'm looking to add another raptor to my set up - so it would look like this:

Gigabyte DS4
Intel Conroe E6600 (2.4)

Geil 2gb (2x1gb) 6400
Connect 3d X1900XT 512mb

36gb Raptor (16mb)
74gb Raptor (16mb)
320 W/D (16mb) (7,200rpm)

Samsung 16x16 DVD/RW CDR/W
DVD CD/RW

Creative X-Fi

So I need, three SATAS, two fourpin molex's and one PCI-E. (24 pin)

The Enermax Liberty 620W ELT620AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-024-EN) is the obvious choice for my budget (£100 or so), but I'm a bit concerned about the cables on it.

The 'Eternity pair' has the molex linked onto a sata connection - please see the page Here to see what I'm on about.

Problem is: My two cd drives (molexs) are at the top of the Eclipse and the hard drives are at the bottom. Does it matter what leads I use to link power supply to component or do I have to use the ones provided with the PSU itself?

I've never put my hands on a modular before so I'm a bit unsure. Any advice would again, be helpful.

I'm swaying towards the FSP Sparkle FX700-GLN Epsilon 700W ATX2.0 PSU (CA-001-SK)

Brute of a power supply - but one I quite like the look of. (I've read a few reviews)

However, I can't for the life of me find what all the cables are for it and as a result; I don't know if it will run my setup above, will I need to buy molex-to-sata converters and so on.

Could someone please help me out on this?

4+4Pin Connector design, complying with the requirement of CPU for ATX or EPS system
S-ATA Connector design which supplies high transfer S-ATA interface products with stable power
2 Channel PCI-E Connector with nVIDIA dual graphic card support

Am I to take from that, that it has:

2 PCI-E connections
One S-ATA
and 4 Molexs

I don't mean to bump up the topic again, but I'm sort of hoping to get it bought and paid for sometime today and I don't want to dive in without really knowing.

Thanks, t31os. That explains things much better.

The other reviews I have read, had the same information from the manufacturer's page - so I wasn't really getting anywhere in my research.

Think it may be filtered due to advertisements on the site which may lead to competitors stores - but no damage has been done. :)
