Somewhere, in a field in cheshire... alright!
Hello

Just after a bit of advice please. I got an R9 390 earlier in the year and since then my system has been shutting off especially when I play a game. It's taken a while to get to the bottom of it, I'd suspected the CPU overheating and a GPU fault but I've been told that it sounds like my Corsair HX620 PSU is failing. I've had it since 2007 so I guess that's pretty good going.

So, is there any reason not to get another Corsair? My system is pretty old now apart from the 390 and I've got no plans to upgrade anytime soon. What would be the best PSU to go for?

Thanks

Iggy

RMx/i are top drawer. HXi are good also but expensive. The rest are either mediocre or not very good.

Superflower Leadex and EVGA GS/G2 get great reviews. I replaced my HX620 with a Superflower Leadex.
