New PSU

Hello I need some help I wonder if someone can recommend me a new PSU around the £70 - £80 mark my current PSU is a 500watt but a really crap make

My current rig is

P4 Prescott (478)
Gigabyte GA-8ipe1000-g mobo
Asus 6800gt 256mb gcard (AGP)
1gig of ddr 400 MHz
2x 200gig sata drives
1x 120gig ide
1x 16 speed DVD writer
1x 52speed cd writer

Keep in mind I will be planning a upgrade before the end of the year which might involve a move 2 pci express.

i have pretty much same sort of power consumption as that and have this, works a treat and room to upgrade to pci-E

OR i recommend seasonic/FsP

all 3 makes are good, but i would personally recommend the tagan

Welcome to the forums.

You could also take a look at the Enermax Liberty 500W, cracking PSU's by all accounts, and is within your budget.

i have 3 tagans between 420watt and 580watt and all 3 work fine and nice and easy to maintain cables etc

you wont regret it for sure

I always use Enermax so i would go for the Enermax Liberty 500W also. Currenly I use the Enermax 485W Noisetaker which is awesome also.
