new PSU?

Sometimes when i boot my pc it doesn't power but after 2 or 3 attemps it boots and also id i shut down and leave the plug turned on i can hear a buzzing noise so i am thinking the PSU is on its way out? what else could it be?

Also how hard is it to fit a new PSU just pull the old one out and plug the new one in or would i need to take everything out of my case to wire it back up?

It's simple fitting a new PSU, you just remove all the cables out of devices - remove PSU and fit the new one inside the case and plug in all power to devices.

Sounds a bit risky that PSU, what exactly is it and how old is it?

I'm not exactly sure on what the mode is but its a 400w antec and around 2 years old.

Do you have another PSU you could test in the system to eliminate the PSU?

If it does turn out to be a faulty PSU, you should be able to get a refund or replacement with the warranty Antec provide which is 2 or 3 years.
