Right, i have decided i need a new PSU as the one i got is getting on a bit and i will throw into a lower powered rig i am making. I am looking for something that will support me Q6600 and 640mb 8800gts, aswell as a couple of HDD and DVD drives. I am also not very happy about the way i got the 4 pin power cable going into my motherboard atm either so that is another reason to get a new one ^^

Do you have a specific budget in mind here? Depending on what your budget is and whether you want modular or not I'd offer the following brands as worth a look - Akasa, Corsair, Enermax, PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic or Tagan. It isn't an exhaustive list, just some brands that are reliable generally.
Thermaltake 500 / 750.
Many would say corsair 620 but AFAIR they do not have the new PCIE connectors.
Or if you're too rich you can get Tagan or Enermax.
I would consider getting thermaltake 500 and spending the rest of cash on new GPU (ATI4850).
