new psu

Any access to another monitor cable? Seen 'em go before myself. A long shot but possible. Another long shot but sometimes weird things happen so I'd clear the CMOS also. Battery out and short the jumper for 5 secs.

Hold on what gcard is it? PCI-e power cable(s)? I'm thinking that because why the need for a new PSU had he recently had a new gcard that needed more power?

No his old psu broke yesturday. And he has a 9800gt green, cant seem to find any connector on the card for any power supply to plug into?

Ah...... Where's the socket gone then? I'm 99.99% certain, IIRC, that the 9800GT needs a PCI-e power cable.

Sorry, stulid, I'm pretty certain you're not right on this one.

Im 100% certain the green edition is bus powered.

try looking at the specs of the card, I already have.

dont know what motherboard your mates got, but has he got all the ATX connectors plugged in? 24pin and either 4pin or 8pin?

What make was the old psu?If it just broke,it's possible that it has damaged some other components.
