In bed, asleep.
I'm shortly going to be buying a GTX 980 to replace my 680 and I've decided to replace my PSU at the same time for peace of mind.

I've had an Enermax Galaxy 850w in my PC for god knows how long, probably going on 8 years, so I figure it's time to change it out, especially as I'm adding an expensive bit of kit to the PC.

As such I'm looking for some suggestions, PC spec's are below:

Core i7-4790 oc to 4.5Ghz
Corsair H105
MSI Z97 Gaming 7
16GB RAM
2 SSD's, 2 regular HDD
Asus Sonar DGX

Cheers.

No plans for SLI at the moment, but admittedly that could change after looking at the Anandtech benchmark results for AC:U. Hopefully that's just an aberration for "next gen" games and Ubisoft can patch better performance in (along side driver improvements).

Let's work on the assumption I will be adding another 980 within six months.

Yeh it's not so much I'm worried about the lack of power, it's more the age of the PSU. Like I said it's getting on for 8 years old (probably, I got it when I got my QX6700 and SLI 8800 GTX's new) and the voltages are dropping on all of the rails (last time I checked), so time to retire the old gal.

Thanks NoNameNoNumber, I'll pick one of those two up.
