new psu

I've bought myself a new case, the nzxt 820 and was going to buy a sunflower 1200w platinum on offer for £165 but will only be running a 980/70 graphics solus, not sli, 3-4 hdd's, 1 ssd and 1 optical drive. Can i get away with smaller wattage or is the above my best bet, bearing in mind i need to get long enough cables for the above case and bit tech says the above comes with cables long enough to fit any case.
