New PSU

Hi all,

Just starting working on upgrading my current pc. First task is to replace the stock 240 watt psu with the Corsair Cx 500. Are these any good.

They're 'ok'

Spend a little more and get a decent one

Quality. Never skimp on a PSU, if you can spend a bit more for what you know is a well known brand with good reviews you should absolutely budget to do it.

Amen to that. If OP wants a semi modular the Antec High Current gamer modular are a good choice too aswell as the Leadex gold mentioned but for a little more the Leadex 550W full modular is on sale right now which is a very nice PSU.
