New Q4 Patch

This is the second beta patch for Q4, I think 1.0.5 for Windows was also a beta.

Hopefully this will fix the broken auto downloading on the servers.. it is a real pain to have to email everyone that uses my server with a download link for the new maps.
 
Works really well with HT enabled. Can now do constant 30FPS with 1920x1200 @ Ultra Quality with max details (but no AA as that still brings it to its knees even on a 7800GTX512!).
 
what sort of difference does it make in multiplayer? am thinking of downloading it but the changelog doesn't look that impressive, only noticable thing seems to be forcemodels and the cvars which shouldn't have been cheat protected in the first place :(
 
Installed the patch and found out that like some of the Q3 patches its not backwards compatible so Ive only got 70 servers to play with whereas before there was like 1400 on the internal browser :mad:. Also Norton is complaining of a worm everytime I refresh/get a new server list - having to ok an invis box as it takes over focus while still in Q4 :/...

Not that much has changed - less dropped sounds, different weap and hurt sounds aswell now. Probably are more fixes, but I wasnt too bothered with the MP issues in the first place - also dont know if the new PTT voice stuff works and I cant activate WS mode without using native res...

Unsure if you can uninstall back to 1.0.4 so hoping more ppl move to 1.1 beta, otherwise Im gonna have to reinstall...

P.S. It buggers up your friends list - lost all of them after install :/...

Oh well - anyone else had better luck?...
