New Quad Core G0 Variants

I got a G0 'B' this morning....so far have booted and Primed for 1 hour at 3.2GHz (400x8) with only 1.3V on the CPU. Have just rebooted again at 3.3Ghz (413x8) and gona run prime for another hr or so. The temps are idleing mid 30's and highest temp ive seen is 54 full load...so still some to go!
Dont think the B's can be all that bad...some of the B3 cores need water to get to 3.2Ghz....Im only using a Tuniq Tower!

I'm getting the same as you 3.2Ghz (400x8) with 1.30v with an Enzotech Ultra X cooler on my Q6600 G0 B.My E6600 needed 1.39v to do 3.2ghz so i'm well pleased with it :)

keep going then cos Ive ran Prime now for 40 minutes at 3.3Ghz...still at 1.3V. And the maximum core temperature is still low 50's...may be a couple of degrees higer when I put my side panel back on. Ill let it run for 1hr then pop it to 3.4 at 1.3V..see how it handles!

Whats you VID in coretemp? mines 1.2375v reading over at extreme systems that the lower the VID the more headroom the chip has to overclock :) The G0 "A" stepping chips over at extreme seem to have a slighly higher VID.

Ive read before that the B3 stepping chips were OK temp wise if you can full load all cores under 70 degrees. WIll it be the same for the G0's???
Im currently running at 3.5Gz with a G0 on air but had to boost the Vcore to 1.3875 to get it priming. The hottest core is about 60 with the other two being arround mid 50's..I asume this is OK.

Not pushed mine any further as all i was bothered about is that it will run @ 3200Mhz the same as my E6600.Managed to reduce the voltage down to 1.288V so really happy :)

Sweet

Sweet guys.

I hope to god i get a great one as the cpu i currently have is a E6600 @3620 with 1.38v under Resorator 2 Water cooling.
but it does get quite hot underload hehe....

I just hope this Energy Efficiant Q6600 gets me to 3.6ghz... otherwize under gameing its going to pritty much suck...

anyway the cpu is ordered and payed for just waiting untill 24th hehe i even payed for saterday delivery wich costs £18 i couldnt beleve it for something so small lol

anyway fingers crossed. ;)

this cpu will be paired with my 2x 8800GTXs under SLI with 4gig OCZ 8500 DDR and Nforce 680I Mobo.

Well guys, I am not really into a lot of volts as I don't want to fry anything, yet! :)

But here is my first overclock of this baby ...

Hi guys

I am planning on getting the Q6600 but I might wait until the G0 variant comes out.

Just to clarify the G0 variants are they simply the Energy Efficient versions?

Nice. One thing i noticed is that up to 3.2-3.3 the thing needs really low voltages. Ive been trying to get mine at 3.5 and it needs a bit of Vcore raing. Im up to 1.4...and fully stable at 3.47....still workin on it. Anyway...not bad for air!

Now after some long hours here doing prime temps have gone up to 57-52-52-57. I've heard that more than 65 is no good so I suppose I still have room for a bit more :)

Are Overclockers going to have these chips in this week? - some are saying the 24th. When i contacted them last week they said Tuesday / Wed of this week.

Can anybody confirm the delivery date (they informed me they are getting around 500 chips).

Cheers,
Lea
