Anyone can suggest a silent cooler for an A64 3200. I would like to do some mild overclocking but I would like to keep the cost to the minimum.

Basically I am looking for the best/cheapest/quite cooler.

I am looking at the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940) (FG-000-AR) £17.57. Which fits in my budget and seems to be a good cooler.

Anyone with suggests would be very helpfull, thanks

You could also look at
Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower £30 or
Zalman CNPS7700-CU Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler £23

I'm running the latter with a 3000+ mildly overclocked, with idle temp of 37, also very quiet

The Freezer 64 Pro is only silent once you lower the fans speed to around 1100rpm. At full whack (2400rpm) it is very noisy because of how restricitve the small gaps between the fins are. However, the good news is that cooling at the lower rpm is only a couple of degrees shy of full speed at idle, and of course you ran raise the speed once it hits a threshold temperature.

I think that it is by far the best value for money/performance option out there.

Mine is silent at 1600rpm, although I agree they are fairly loud at full whack I dont think going down to 1100rpm is needed.
Btw this is with a seasonic PSU, 3x120mm case fans running at 5v, passive northbridge and a vf700 @ 5v :D
