New RAM getting red cpu light on mobo

Hi all. I just installed some new ram ( 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance RGB PRO Black, PC4-28800 (3600) on an msi b550 gaming edge wifi (cpu 5600x), and the pc turns on and the ram sticks are lighting up but im getting the cpu red light on the mobo and no signal on my monitor.

Strangely(?) i just went on the msi compatibility page and it doesnt feature this exact model but has the 3200 cl 16 version. Did i just mess up? Any and all help appreciated.

Pull the ram out and reseat it, ensure they are all the way in.

It should work fine even if it's not on the compatible list.

If that fails then refit old ram, if that works then go into bios and disable XMP/DOCP and try the new ram again.

Reset the CMOS after installing the ram.

Sounds about right - What clocks are you running it at now?
