Hi,

First post so forgive any errors.

I ordered a second pair of Avexir Core Series RAM (red light bar as it goes with the colour scheme etc) and received them today. Noticed that the new RAM is labelled 1.5v and my existing RAM is 1.65v
Original RAM is 2x4GB DDR3 2133 C9 at 1.65 (in slots 1 and 3)
New RAM is 2x4GB DDR3 2133 C11 at 1.5v (in slots 2 and 4) (I used my original order to pick this RAM if that makes sense so just thought that i would get the exact same)

Questions are: is this ok as i want to run the RAM at its 2133mhz using XMP profile 1? when i ran Prime 95 blend twice it errored immediately. So i went back into bios on set Memory freq to Auto. So back to 1600mhz. Prime 95 blend ran fine for 1 hour at this setting.
Should i RMA or is there a way to get my full 2133mhz without too much trickery as im no expert...

My specs are : CPU - i5-3570k @ 4.5Ghz on 1.23v (Memory freq is on Auto/CPU LLC is at Auto)
MOBO - Asus Maximus V Gene Z77 bios up to date version 1903

The higher voltage is to achieve cl9 just go into the bios and set the values manually to cl 11 to match your new ram and test again.

Thanks Mickey...appreciate the swift reply. So its straight in my own head i am to change my original RAM timings to match my new RAM? Then test. so the new timings would be 11-11-11-31 instead of 9-11-10-27

Yes, also you could even loosen the timings even more if matching doesnt stabilize . say 12-12-12-35 on both sets.

Well suffice to say im running prime 95 blend at the moment. No immediate errors and running ok so far. Will test for the rest of the evening. If any issues will try the new timings and no doubt be back...Much appreciate your help though and thanks again...
