Hey guys, built my new PC yesterday and decided to run Prime over night at stock to make sure every is alright, but it BSOD after an hour. Just ran Memtest and it failed after a couple of minutes.

Just gone into the CMOS and the voltage is set to auto and it's at 1.5v. I've got OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 and in the specifications it says 1.65 volts. Is that the maximum it can handle or it's normal operating voltage?

I would increase to 1.64v / 1.65v and see how you get on.

This tends to be normal voltage, I had the 1600mhz version and had 2 kits which were faulty :(

Okay, I increased the voltage to 1.660 (there isn't a 1.65) and manually put in the timings (9,9,9,20) and everything seems okay thus far. Fingers crossed.

Ocz Gold is cack, I had to return mine 3 times. The shipping they make you pay for. Just send it back and say you want your money back. Shocking memory

Yeah, the memory's going back, can't even play games, just crashes.

Any recommendations?

the corsair's good gear for the price, the patriot ****'ll happily chug along n all, basically anything but the ocz and your set. there's like 6 bad reviews for the ocz on ocuk already, it's got 2 and a half stars for a reason.

ocz did great ram for the core 2 chips but lately they've fallen off.
