MSI B650 Tomahawk Bios E7D75AMS.1G0 24/2/24
7800 X3D
Sabrent Rocket M2 drive
4080S
Corsair Vengence 6000 CL30(CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K / CMH64GX5M2B6000Z30)
Zero issues, just faniced going from 32 to 64 ram. I knew DDR5 seemed to dislike 4 sticks, so went for the exact same ram, but 2 x 32 sticks.
It doesnt seem to like EXPO enabled, it will take a good few minutes to post. I'll have the yellow Ram light on mobo, sometimes the red Cpu light, it will eventually go out, post and boot.
Once booted, runs fine, games dont crash, nothing noticably odd going on. If i turn EXPO off, it posts and boots like normal.
When first installing it, it didnt post, ended up clearing cmos, eventually got it working. I was kind of expecting to just swap the stick, and be on my way. But still having this issue every restart / reboot takes ages to post. I havent updated Bios yet, thought I'd seek some input first. Whilst I have built PCs for many years, I generally build and forget, I dont have many issues, or follow tech etc until its rebuild time. Safe to assume all chipset drivers etc will be from when I built it May 24.
Is this something random? Bad ram maybe?
Im half tempted to just chuck my 32 back in and return it and move on.
Cheers
