New razer death adder mouse does not work?? help!

I just got this mouse delivered. I install the drivers and it doesn't work. I tried installing with it plugged in and without it pluged in. Neither works. Please help!

Also the blue pattern picture on it keeps fadeing then lighting up again. Is that just for show? or does it mean something lol.


:EDIT: and i just found ouit they have no drivers for 64bit vista yet im gonig to be getting that in november. Bugger lol



:EDIT: nevermind i found out the usb plug is infact just broken and it works in the other... is there anything on this pc which isn't dieing?

The firm wear wont install tho grrrr and now the mouse is not working ffs. When i try and install the firm wear it all just freezes. I have to unplug the mouse again and plug it back in and end the task to get it to work. Whats up with that?

I've not got a clue Dave?. Both my Copperhead and Death Adder have installed perfectly every time.

Remove all the software from Razer. Do a BIOS upgrade maybe and then try the Death Adder again. It might help?.
 
the pc is 3 years old. It wouldn't be easy to find a bios for this motherbaord proberly plus i cant be bothered in going through all that agro considering ill be upgrading in a month.

Though this mouse wont work in a month because they dont have 64 bit vista drivers grrrrrrr that makes me really ****** off that they havn't made them. How long has this mouse and vista been out geeze!
 
if the pc is that old, is it possible the usb port isnt supplying enough juice (power) to the mouse?

That would be my first port of call, is it possible you can try it in a mates pc at all?


I would suspect the usb ports not having the grunt to power it matey.
