Hi there guys just wondering if anyone could help me out,
basically i just ordered a new mouse,A razer abyssus and i was wondering if i needed to uninstall my old generic mouse driver's that windows 7 automatically downloaded

if i do need to uninstall them could someone advise me the best way to do so ?

any help would be much appreciated

all the best cheers

Should be absoloutely fine to leave the old ones, razer mice are usually just plug and play(the ones ive owned anyway), and ive never had any problems :)

u dont usually need the razer drivers to use the mouse.

althou it does allow you to program the mouse, change buttons, on the fly senseitivity etc

THIS, I installed Driver to mine Razer, but used it only once- however you can change button's, speed DPI, etc. ... so maybe worth to install!

Since it's an Abyssus you shouldn't need Razer drivers at all since the DPI and polling rate are set using switches on the bottom of the mouse. I've had serious stability issues with Razer drivers in the past so now I don't tend to install them, except as noted above, to initially change settings or perform a f/w update then remove them. All Razer mice will remember DPI / polling and those equipped with 'synapse' memory can store key / button assignments, macros, etc.

I have a Salmosa and didn't bother with the drivers. Im happy with the default sensitivity etc and so never needed them really. Unless you're desperate to change it then you'll be fine without them

leave the old drivers, up to you if you install the razer ones or not, i for one always do as you can tweek the senes just how you like it
