Hi all,
long term reader of the forums :), hoping i could get some help in choosing the right parts for what i need. i decided to treat myself into looking for a new rig, since my girlfriend has purchased herself shoes, bags and more shoes :p The system im looking for will be used purely for gaming. i'll also be looking to overclocking too. Gave my previous pc to my cousin, specs below.

CPU: Intel i5 3450
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
Memory: Samsung Green 8GB 1600MHz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 5870
SSD:OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
HDD: 1TB Western Digital

Parts ive kept,
Case: Coolermaster HAF X Gaming Tower Case
Mouse & Keyboard: Logitech G500 5700DPI/Logitech G510
32' TV Res 1920X1080
Optical: Blu-Ray + DVD RW
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i
PSU: XFX 850 XXX Edition Semi Modular

So yeah mainly for gaming, ive already bought Windows 8. I would like 2 decent SSD's for the OS and games plus one huge HDD for storage. Would also prefere multiple graphics cards if possible, dont mind if its Nvidia or AMD aslong as i know im getting the bang for buck as one would say. Target is £950, can stretch it as long as its not more than £80. Let me know if you have any questions.

Much appriciated :)

:( maybe because i have never used it, i'm a fast one card man m8 :)

and like your spec as well, but boards too much money for me as i would never use it, i know poster said quote"Would also prefer multiple graphics cards if possible" but budget doesn't allow it, but you managed to give him the option later while i didn't :( in budget as well. mine does but not at those speeds 16x4x1x1 only

nice memory mind you at price i thought, won't be in stock much longer either as memory is rocketing up in price.

In the majority of cases, an SLI setup will outperform a single card. This however is dependant on the cards be used & the single card in questions.

The memory is good..

It is a bit pricier but it gives him an option just to throw in another 7950 in a few months time.

That's what I would do. You'd never want to limit yourself unless your 100% the path of dual/triple cards if not for you.
