New rig almost there! Need monitor help please...

Hello all

I’ve had great input from this forum on my new rig and all my parts arrived today.

Ended up with a decent build coming in at just under £1400 with a 1070ti in there.

So I have £400 left in my budget and am stuck in regards to a monitor, wanting a 2560 x 1440 min 100hz, 27 inches would be nice. I know that Gsync would be preferable but I’m not sure my budget stretches to it, and do you guys think it makes that much of a difference? I’m not a hardcore gamer, just mmo & RTS mainly, want a nice smooth experience.

G-Sync is less important in high refresh rate monitors, and where your GPU can't generate enough FPS. So if you intend to buy a high refresh rate monitor, and your 1070ti can generate lots of FPS with your favourite games, then really there is little need for G-Sync ( sure, get it if you have the money, why not? ). Something like the Predator XG270HUomidpx would serve you well, I think. It's a TN monitor, so it's fast, and if you shop around it can be had for about £380.
