New Rig build advice

This is just the basic things needed for a pc. ive got a hdd and dvd drive already and the rest. just need advice as to if this is a decent enough build for £450

Wrong socket though and need a board with ide connector.

only been given £450-£500 to play with for them. and didnt want to do a full upgrade. just the essentials since their processor got damaged by someone else

What drive do you have that needs a IDE? if its just a DVD drive a new SATA is £17

It would be a good choice. problem is case is too small.

The PSU I suggested is modular, also the ATI card is faster/less power hungry, could even get away with the 500W PSU version, but the 600W is only a bit more.

Yeah as its on today only that 7850 is a great deal.

Only thing I'd say is maybe a Z77 as the budget allows and would help in the future with upgrades?

Getting an i5 2500K or similar later on, which would allow for overclocking. Of course is that is unlikely for the OP, then not worth it.
