Hello folks, I was wondering if you could give me any advice on what I'm planning to buy - My last machine was build in 2004 and has just died on me.

I'm toying with getting the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-213-OE

Adding a SSD and the Geforce 670 and getting two of http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-031-AS

It's the monitor that I'm most concerned about. I am a photographer and need accurate colour rendition but I also do a modest amount of gaming, mixing in fps, rpg and mmo's... do the monitors sound like a sensible choice or am I missing a stunning alternative for a similar price?

Cheers

Actually to be honest I'd not really investigated that angle... my thought process was more centered on being able to leave tools and web browsers on the second monitor when I go off gaming on the first monitor...

But I guess with the increased space I could edit easier and there would be space for tools to the side on such a large screen anyway. If I were to go along with that idea, is there a 27" you'd particularly recommend?

Well im not an expert on monitors so you should wait for someone to give you some proper advice. In the meanwhile you should take a look at these monitors and collect some info by reading reviews :
Dell U2713
Dell 2711
Asus PB278Q (not yet released)
Samsung S27A850D

Keep in mind that the new U2713 is standard gamut, whereas the U2711 is extended gamut. I'm not sure which colour spaces you're working with, so I couldn't suggest which one would be better for your needs, but there's a couple of monitor gurus around here :p

You also need to bear in mind the aggressive AG coating on the U2711. Some people hate it.
