Think that's about all your going to get for your budget.

You could always get her to hook it up to the TV for the time being until can afford a monitor after crimbo?

That gives more room for improvement on the actual rig... better processor/KB+M/larger HDD/reliable PSU

Just a suggestion :)

Are there any reviews on here that say the low cost psus sold by ocuk are unreliable / not fit for purpose?

I'm guessing there will be no overclocking, no messing with voltages and probably limited gaming. Why will the value psu not be suitable here?

Because it is not a reliable PSU. No doubt it will have a high ripple, be ineffiecient and more likely to die.

I'm trying to ask why they are stocked and have the ocuk value brand if they are rubbish / unreliable / dangerous. Has anyone tested the exact psu and proven that it is shoddy?

I am certain that a large chunk of unbranded psus are junk but to say they all are is silly. I've read that some psu named brands have theirs manufactured for them (and not always the same company) so I am taking a small leap of faith and guessing ocuk know who is manufacturing the psu and so can place their name next to it.

They sell this system with the same case so it can't be that dodgy:
