I'm a bit rusty on components knowledge, these all work together ok don't they?
Any advice welcome, recommendations on cheaper similar items etc. :)

I priced up an i3 mATX spec before this one, but I couldn't find a suitable case I liked anywhere so I think I'll just go full ATX. Roughly 200 quid more than I started out looking at. But with i7 instead of i3, a GTX 470 instead of 460, 2gig more ram (tri chan instead of dual). Mobo, cooler, psu change as well.

That monitor seems like a bargain, is the P line dodgy or something? Thanks.:D

Yeah looks ok. The mobo supports tri-channel RAM and does SLI or xfire, Some people prefer ATI cards as they aren't so power hungry but it's a personal choice.

Also check the heatsink may include thermal paste unless you specifically want arctic silver

im impressed considering you say your knowledge is rusty.

the only criticism is the 2TB green drive, is this going to be the drive to run windows and any programs/games you use?

if it is, then get a faster 7200rpm drive such as a samsung F3, western digital black or seagate barracuda 7200.12

Spec looks pretty good :)

Like mentioned above will the green hard drive being used for storage.

oh, one more little thing.

the psu doesn't have enough pci-e connectors if you ever wanted a second 470 for sli.

Hard drive rpm! Forgot about that :P 1TB will do for now. Thanks stulid I didn't even notice the cooler comes with applied Arctic compound. About the PSU, isn't the 6+2-pin pci-e connector on it for a second GFX card, for SLI?

the psu only has 1x 6pin and a 6+2pin thats it, two cables, no more.

for sli you will need 4 cables. as each GTX470 needs two 6pin pci-e cables.
