Just thinking about getting the following bits of kit, let me know your thoughts.

6600 Core 2 Duo
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X
OCZ GameXStream 700w
GeIL 2GB PC6400 Ultra Low Latency DDR2
Connect3D ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X SILENT Heatpipe 512MB

Thoughts + feelings much appreciated.

Whats the Abit board like for clocking assuming you will like you have with the oppty. There are a couple of other boards that are very popular on here.

Thinking about buying the same same cpu, mobo, ram - looks a good choice if your not too bothered about only 1 PCI slot & only using a single graphic card if using the PCI slot for soundcard etc as it will leave no room for crossfire, not sure how well the onboard sound is. . . .

I take it your current rig is in your sig?

Your old PSU should be fine so a new one is not essential.

You could clock your graphics card to xt-x speeds and there would not be much of a noticable difference compared to the x1950xtx.

Good choice with the ram and cpu, but i don't really know much about that board.

If you were intent on getting a new graphics card i would go with a 7950gx2 or get a x1900 master card and crossfire it.
