Hi, well i decided to make the jump and build a new rig, so i ordered the below
newbuild.jpg

I will be running Windows 7, dont get back from overseas until sunday so will post some pics when i am done, graphics card will be my old gtx 295 BFG:D looking forward to a nice new speedy rig. (I hope!!)

Your GTX 295 is 'old' lol.

Enjoy your rig i'm sure it will be good for many years, apart from that 'old' gpu getting upgraded with a DX11 card :)

i got the 1000w just to cover me for putting in an extra card in the future, i am in 2 minds whether to sell my 295 and get 2 ATI dx 11 cards or not, any suggestions? to be honest the 295 doesn’t have any problems with current games.

well if you can sell the GTX295, and get a nice HD5870, plus its a bit of saving on the old energy front ;)

i have an antec 1200 at the moment but was after something with a bit more room and the hot swap bays, i am a marine engineer and spend 8 months a year away, so i usually take my drives with me in caddys, so saves having to dismantle the case every time :)

Ok guys after a bit of advice, I built my rig the other week when I got home on leave and the performance was sweet but unfortunately under prime 95 it would continually blue screen so the good guys at ocuk have been testing it and have changed the motherboard to a Asus P6TD so if it passes test through the night I should have back on Thursday, so with all this extra time on my hands I have found myself reading about corsair's H50 cpu cooler, I currently have a Noctua NH-U12P and under full load would peak around 78-83c. Would the H50 be a worthwhile buy? or am I better sticking with the Noctua. Cheers.
