New rig for xmas?

As christmas is on the way I thought I'd treat myself to a new rig but I want some opinions on whether the performance increase would be worth the cash!

Going from:
P4 3.4 Prescott
Unknown Gigabyte mobo (no OCing options)
2Gb PC3200 Value RAM

To

E6300 C2D
Gigabyte DS3
2Gb PC6400 GeIL

I'll be taking the 7900 GTO I've got over into the new rig.

So what do you all think? I'll be using it for gaming and CAD and I will be OCing the 6300

For graphical intensive games you won't notice much difference although you will gain fair amount of increase in fps. However CAD and other general applications will be faster. Depends on which one you do more really.
