New rig: GPU <£450

What is your screen resolution?
What is your PSU?
What is your CPU?

Right now... 290x

Next week, 290 + aftermarket cooling for it.

If you need a lot of GPU grunt, then two 7970s or 280xs would be my first choice

Do you have a decent cpu / psu to pair a new card up with?

If I was buying today, I'd choose one of these two cards :

However, if I was playing the waiting game, then I'd look out for the 290 / 290X / (non reference models) / 780 price drop / 780ti.

Two 7950s will deliver the best bang for buck - something to consider if your mobo supports crossfire.

Wait a week to see what the 290 is like, I say. From a budget of £450 t should save you the £70 you spent upping the 4670k to a 4770k.
