Got a new build, which im going to do over the next few days and thought id probe you all for proper/helpfull settings in the bios.
To save the hours of " getting it right" with the correct settings in bios, maybe you can point me?
Setup consits of.........
1 x Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
2 x Seagate Barracuda ES 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
1 x Maxtor 400GB and 1 x 300 GB IDE's ( on the single ide port )
Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
1 x Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Edition QX6850 3.00GHz (1333FSB)
1 x NEC AD7170S Serial ATA 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter
1 x BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI
1 x Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty 7.1 Champion Series
All wrapped in a TT Armor Black case.
Not had an intel Mobo before and not built a system for ages!!!
The correct bios settings would be nice, never had a SATA DVD, Sata 1 port??
How about the Bios settings for the SATA drives please?
Not going to raid the two HD's, installing Vista Ult 32 bit
The Intel fan was a b@tch to put on, and one day will look to put something better on, but for now will stay stock.
Cheers peoples
