Also any recommendations are welcomed.

Personally, I wouldn't spend the money on DDR3 memory right now, but if you have the cash free to spend, then go for it!

Other than that I cant see anything wrong there.

DDR3 is silly at the moment. It offers little performance improvement over DDR2 for twice the price. In a year or two it will be ready for prime time, not now.

Go for a 64-bit OS and 4 GiB RAM.

get DDR2 ram over DDR3 as ddr3 offers no real preformance gain over ddr2 at the moment especially considering the price premium. this also means getting a DDR2 MB as well.

i would also consider a 3rd party cpu cooler such as the tuniq tower if you maybe overclocking.

you could get away with the corsair HX520 but theHX620 will allow you to put more power hungury parts in your PC in the future.

an optical drive will be nice ,unless you have one lying about

Ok I forgot to say that the Case has a built in Liquid cooling system.

Also i was wondering about the DDR3 thing so thanks.

now I am agoing to need a recommendation on memory for this mobo - Asus Maximus Formula Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

mainly gaming and anything below £1400 would be nice also i may want it to be quite silent(which i think is fixed by watercooling but i dont know).

also i want to know what extra things i need for my case.

well with DDR3 coming in at under £100 now, i think it might be worth it.

just last year a this time it was PC-6400 at this price and everyone was lapping it up
