If you know of anything that is better than any of the parts i've put on here then please link them and I'll consider changing them, I've got the money to buy all the parts here but I WOULD LIKE to save money if and where I can.

Thanks guys!

Personally would go with a 7850 at this moment in time. Out of the box performance is similar to a GTX570, but runs cooler, lower power consumption, more overclocking head room.

Also I would go with low profile RAM such as this, as the tall pointless heatsinks on the Vengeance may interfer with any air coolers you want to install or better still reuse your existing Corsair XMS3 RAM.

If you can hang on just a few weeks, Intel's refresh of CPUs will be released, Ivy Bridge. In the meantime you could go for a new case (personal preference), GPU, peripherals etc.

Do you already have a storage Hardrive, disk drive and PSU for these builds?

Also do you need Windows?

Edit: Have you also considered an air cooler for the CPU?

I'm not too fussed about the new Ivy Bridge chipset, it's not going to offer overwhelming performance over the 2500k, so not too fussed there.

Check the rig mate.

But to answer your question anyhow: I already have a PSU, I already have a 2TB HDD storage and I already have windows.

You could squeeze a lot more out of your current cpu, so I'd overclock the nuts off it and then upgrade your board/cpu/ram further down the line when it's worth it.

Not sure why you're getting more RAM? 8GB is plenty for gaming, did you have something else in mind?

Other than that, I'd consider the 7870 with the money you save on the RAM if you don't get it.

I do a lot of Virtualisation via: VMWARE and what not, so that takes up a lot of ram and what not, the occasional encoding/decoding too! so that's why I'm opting for more ram, 8GB is sufficient but getting 12GB in total would seal the deal for quite a long while to come, to be honest.

That's fair enough. Wouldn't that be 16gb? Either way, it's only an extra 30 quid for a 7870 over the 570, so maybe worth thinking about.

So it would, my bad! I apologise, not thinking properly :P.

But how much extra performance is that £30 going to get me? Is it going to be noticable, or is just a 'slight' bump?

choices, choices.

GET THE 7850!!!!! hands down, get the MSI twin frozer one, download asus GPU tweak and it can overclock to 7950! SPEEEDS. Its proven ask around the forums a lot of people are doing this, there is no point in buying the 7870.

With the money saved get a higher capacity SSD drive. Or you can save that money for another day. IF you also want to save more money buy the G500, very good mouse its around £30 mark and performs like a £50 mouse.

Buy The Kingston Hyper X Low profile ram it will give you the chance to have a very high end air cooler such as the phantecks.

I've already a logitech G500, I used to have a G9x but student times, I had to sell it -_-; regret it now!

So get the 7850 over the GTX 570? Okay, got it!
Anything else to change here? apart from the ram? I've already changed that!
