Just finished swapping out my motherboard, GFX card and Processor, and i am having problems. Everthing has power, all the fans are spinning, but my monitor isnt recieving any output, im not even getting to the BIOS screen, nothing is happening other than power.

Any common fixes to this sort of problem would be appreciated.

I have a new 2.2 ghz dual core intel, a new overclockers 8800gt and a new IP35 pro motherboard. I have 3 hard drives, 2 disc drives and a creative X-fi sound card, as well as a gig of corsair ram.

Didnt have any problems with my old setup so i doubt its any of the parts i carried over.

Any advice guys?

Onlt thing i may have done is swap my 2 hard drives round, so my C drive with XP on it mite b in the second SATA slot. dont know if that makes any difference.

Try with one stick of ram in the pc (i assume you have more than 1) also if you plug in your speaker from your tower does it make any beeps?

EDIT: have you connected the power to the 8800gt?

Speak is in, no beeping.
Just tried 1 RAM stick of RAM, then just the other 1, no luck.

I think the GT has power, i connected the extra power cable in the back of it, and the fan is spinning.

Its been a while since i built a comp, so its possible i may have done soemthing odd 2 do with the motherboard, since thats the area i have least familiarity with, if that helps.

The graphics card is seated properly right? and also might be worth trying a different dvi outlet on the card. Other than that I'm not to sure.

If its not beeping then I would say the board could be knackered. Try unplugging/removing everything, connecting a speaker and then powering up. The board should beep at you

The Cmos jumper is at the bottom right of the mobo when its installed, down at the bottom, and the jumpers are in the correct position.
I did clear the CMOS. No luck.
Started with ram and CPU installed, still no bios beep at all

Take the board out of the case incase its shorting out, fit only the cpu, gfx card and one stick of ram in the slot furthest away from the cpu.

Well, with just the CPU and mobo im still not getting anything, any ideas on how to test which one of those 2 is the problem. I should get a biso been when it encounters the lack of memory as far as i am aware, but nothing so far.

Still nothing with 1 stick, whatever i do the bios WONT beep.
I really dont think its the ram, it was working fine this morning before the rebuild.
Any other suggestions?

I was thinking so, i doubt the processor is the problem, and i have reseated it to no avail.
RAM worked this morning, and i know the BIOS speaker isnt the problem cus that worked this morning as well lol.
