New Rig Not Starting.

As per title really, PC powers on, see the power light come on, hear and see the HDD light come on and then nothing. No beeps, no further noises, screen goes back into standby and mouse and keyboard don't light up. All peripherals work on my old PC (the one I'm posting on now).

Would anyone be able to give some ideas.

what OS are you using? What i would do is take it apart and rebuild it, making sure you have the cables connected correctly i.e power, hdd, gfx, dvd, mouse, keyb etc
can you see anything on the screen or is it black/blank from the very start?

OS is Windows 7, loaded the DVD into the drive and the drive light comes on but the screen is just black so there isn't anything showing to let me try an install. It's a pre-built so I'm going to RMA it.

sorry i cant help you more mate it could be a multitude of things (gotta love tech), if its prebuilt like you say hassle your suppliers tech team.. its brand new i take it?

Turns out the gfx card wasn't in right, reseated and it booted no problem, while it was on it's side. Stood it up properly and off it went. Turns out it will run fine while layed on it's side but not while upright.

Getting RMA'd on Monday, thx for the suggestions everyone
