I recently purchased a
OcUK GeForce GTX 970 "NVIDIA 970 Cooler Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card.

Now as this is OcUK own make but sticker says Zotac ZT-90109-10P i thought i would check the ZOTAC website but as i had probably suspected this Model is not registered.

What i would please like to know is what software i should use for Overclocking this card and also help in Overclocking it as Base CPU is a bit lower than other cards but this is a silent and well made card and i am impressed by the reviews.

So looking for :-

Overclocking Software for this Card.
How to use it as a Novice at Overclocking On NEW Systems , i say NEW as im use to working on standard Bios Rigs NO UEFI and old LGA775's.

I have a Full New system that i will want to test and benchmark and overclock so not sure if this Thread will belong here or if a thread with all my requirements can be created as i have many questions about setup of new rig on Overclocking and SSD and Benchmark tests and comparison.

But for now i need a easy Overclocking GPU software to run with this card and also what settings to use and expected benchmarks and then run benchmarks to compare.

please can you assist.

Use MSI Afterburner - http://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner

This is a Windows based overclocking tool for all graphics cards. Probably the best and easiest to use. They have a guide on how to use it on the website.

Just keep voltages at default and up the core / mem clock 10mhz or so at the time between bench / testing and just repeat until things start to crash.

The disc has a Firestorm utility with it but I haven't looked at it yet. Used to EVGA Precision so not sure how it compares.

i have done a search and could not find what i required and had tried software with it but found that profiles were not saving and it kept warning me system would be unstable even when i just tried to do a save with any alterations.

as for the rest of the replies thank you for giving kind assistance. as many of us know we all have different levels of technology in certain areas. i am rather outdated and use to older systems as a hardware and softare engineer. it has been a long time since i activly kept up to date. so thank you all for your help.

There's a few guides as stickies in this section and the overclocking section, on best ways to overclock and how to go about doing it. I was in the same place a couple of months ago, it's super easy but time consuming to get it spot on and at it's max!

Have fun, post your scores in the benchmark threads :p
