Hey OcUKers!
I'm building a rig for sub 500 quid, and I've come up with this config. Could you please tell me if the PSU will do the job for the components, cos I used a calculator (eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite v2.5) & it said that all I needed (min) was 268W ! So I opted for the Antec 380W. I have a Microsoft Reclusa Gaming KB & a Razer Viper mouse for gaming, and the set included here is for normal day-to-day use. Please review the rest & let me know. Thanks! :)

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz AM3

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H 785G Socket AM3

Ram: Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz Memory Kit Unbuffered Memory (or)
Patrtiot G Series Sector 5 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz

Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache

Graphics Card: XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 XXX Edition 1024MB GDDR5

PSU: Antec 380W EarthWatts Green PSU - 80plus Bronze Certified

DVD Writer: Samsung 22x DVD±RW SATA with Lightscribe

Keyboard: Nexos Black Illuminated Mini USB Multimedia keyboard

Mouse: Logitech USB Optical Mouse

Cabinet: Casecom Shiny Black Mid Tower Gaming Case with Front 120mm Red LED Fan

I would stick in a Corsair PSU to be honest purely because of their reputation and warranty :) Then change the case for the Coolermaster 335 elite.

What spec of corsair would you suggest for this setup? Keeping in mind the GPU? I dont see too many upgrades in the near future... besides, the antec is 80plus Bronze Certified & other than the brand, is there any other reason why you would like me to put in the Corsair? believe me, I've thought about it, I just want some more opinions. What do you make of the calulator telling me that i need at least 268Watts? Cheers!

400w cx, or get the ocz 600w modular that is on this week special offer.

600w would allow for crossfire or a bigger graphics card in the future.

There's nothing wrong with antec either.

I know, but I'm not planning on upgrading to a new GPU, I'm gonna stick with this one till the end. Lets consider no upgrades, other than 2 more sticks of RAM, and possibly a hard drive, but nothing else. Will consider the OCZ modular, but the thing is, its 60quid, and my budget is just 450, and i'm already over it... Cant spend anything more...600 is overkill for this config, i feel, if im not gonna upgrade... So...
Shall I stick to the 350-450 range?
Thanks for the help!
