People help out there would be great.

Not sure if i should build a new rig, or just replace a few bits on my p.c

Am asking this question as my P.c build is now 3 years old, and my old ATI radon x4870 X2 died on me today.

I use my Rig mainly for Trading during the day, and a few games,(looking forward to Battlefield 3). so would need something to suit.

My rig......

1. Processor:AMD PhenomX4 9750 AM2+ 2.4GHz
2. Motherboard:Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe / Wifiuxe /WiFi AM2 Phenom 790FX Dual PCIe x16 Gb LAN DDR2 ATX
3.Memory (RAM): 4x1024MB DDR2-800 SDRAM (crucial)
4.Hard drives: 2x500GB Seagate 7200
5.Graphics card(s): ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Car
6.Power supply (PSU):Enermax Galaxy DXX 850w(i think)
7.Case: Thermalake X
9.CD/DVDRW drive(s):LG Blu-Ray/HD DVD-ROM COMBO 16x
10Optional: Sound card:sound blaster x-fi

Have 3 screens(SAMSUNG 22" Wide SM225BW, SAMSUNG SM920NW 19" Wide,SAMSUNG 22" Wide B2230H 5ms DVI HDMI)

Don't mind add a 4th Screen if have funds left over.

help would be great.

hmm maybe a 2500K / 2600K build, with P67/Z68 and 8GB DDR3. Depends if you need massive CPU power and if your software makes good use of hyperthreading.

Also potentially a SSD 120GB. Depends if you feel the need for faster disk access on your programs / OS. And if you don't have Win 7 Retail, win 7 (OEM or retail).

What budget?

If i was just adding to the main bit, i wasn't looking to spend more then 600. but can do if need be. Have Window 7 by the way.

Everything potentially OTT. But that would be a top of the range upgrade.

Can go much cheaper with a 2500K, leaving space for a SSD.

whats the main use of this pc, gaming or encoding?

i5 2500k - £165
p67 (sli/cf) - £115
