Posted a similar thread around a month ago in regards to a new rig. Been doing some reasearching into this to attempt to get best value for money. OC generally do fantastic deals. Anyhows have had my eyes on this for a while now,

Looking to play games such as CSS, WAR, etc. From my current rig which is over 4 years old this is a massive step up so undoubtedly im going to see a performance increase.

I have 3 question/ concerns though .

1. Not really sure which GPU to shoot for. Dont want to pay to high for this right now as im guessing the dx10 card will start to come down shortly. Probably willing to go as high as the 5770.

2. Done some reasearching into this CPU but couldnt really find much on it :S. Anyone have any thoughts of this CPU or experience with it? :)

3. Think the main weakness of this rig is probably its hard drive ( at least gaming wise ) but again this should more then likely suit my needs.

Any thoughts and opinions are more then welcome :). For anyone trying to find a better rig willing to spend up to the £700-750 mark. Thanks in advance.

you could do a lot better than that if you built it yourself...

Better processer, ddr3, and if you're willing to spend up to £750 then pick a better graphics card or you could go i7.

The thing is though im not very comfortable building it myself. I just want the convenience. :P

The Q8400 (or is it Q8200?) competes with the AthlonII x4 so is quite basic in terms of features. Coming with a 4850; pretty much average in gaming terms now....

Stupot's i5 looks good; For £600 you should get something with more umph and future proofing.

What he linked is a very good set up, If i phoned OC and asked them to build that along with an OS because currently im running XP. Would it come to the same price as it is there or would it be more expensive due to the labour?

Of course it would be more; not sure they will do a complete custom build though.... One way to find out!
