Just got my new stuff today, and have come across a few random problems. Everythings running fine only my HSF keeps lowering the rpm right down to nothing (well sounds like nothing havent had time to look with the side pannel off) and then starts up again, i have cool n quiet disabled, and smart fan disabled. The board is MSI K9N Ultra, the cooler is a Scythe Mine Rev.B, dont know if anyone else has had this problems.

Also with my x2 4600+ AM2, when running CPU-z the v-core and voltage are changing on their own by a few volts give or take and the vore speed is gaining .1/5 mhz along with the HT Link. I dont know if this is commen to x2 cpu's as this is my first time running them, any help would be great.

Cheers,

Mark.

Suggest you monitor (all) voltages using SpeedFan or mobos own software (e.g. Asus Probe). Post here your findings (helps to give figures), that way you can know if problems with PSU :)

Regarding HSF, could it have a thermally controlled fan (like stock AMD coolers)? Suggest you also monitor its RPM ;)

Probably best to take a look :)

Its perfect normal for these values to fluctuate slighty as long as its a small amount like 0.025v and not actual volts i.e it shouldn't be showing 1.3000vCore one minute then 1.5000vCore the next! :D
