So my o/s has packed in on old machine and has prompted a look for new system, don't really have time to build myself again so looked at the bundels on offer. Would like nice 22" and decent graphics and came up with below - budget is around 1250 (1400 euro)

"Titan Goliath" Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz @ 3.40GHz Quad Core DDR3 System

Options applied to the above product:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit - OEM (GFC-00564)
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM
Viewsonic VX2260wm 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor Viewsonic VX2260wm 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor

TOTAL £1261

Thoughts welcome - looking to purchase early to mid jan

Case is down to personal preference, you can quite easily take the cheapest on offer and not have any drop in performance.

I would opt for a 64-bit operating system, allows you full use of the 6GB of RAM and the 5850 card.

Other than that all I can say is the Goliath is our most popular system for a reason. :)

Good stuff - anyone know how loud this setup would be? - 5850 fan under load? cpu fan ? my last setup was dead quiet:cool:,

I hear stock ati coolers are better than they used to be but i'm wary

Before it gets into Windows they are close to a quiet Hoover (if there is one) once into the point where the systems fan speed is controlled it ranges from extremely quiet to low noise levels when gaming. :)
