Ok I am thinking of adding these components together for a new rig but I am not sure whether to buy a Antec Sonata II or a Arctic Cooling T2 case.

Parts
Opteron 165
Arctic Cooling freezer 64
DFi Ultra D
OCZ 2Gb Platinum ram
X1800XT
Samsung 250GB HDD
LG DVD RW

Sonata 2 is the better case, but it would still be seriously pushing it with the 450w PSU it comes with.

CA-027-AN Antec SLK3000B Midi Tower Case - No PSU (CA-027-AN)
£24.95 £24.95
CA-025-EN Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-025-EN)
£57.95 £57.95
Subtotal £82.90
VAT £14.51
Total £97.41

That case would offer adequate cooling at a low price and the PSU is excellent, both are on offer this week too.

Do you really think that the psu in the Sonata II is not up to the job?
Thanks for the suggestion mate but I live in Vancouver, Canada so I will not be ordering anything from OcUK.

The PSU will be up to the job, but if you are overclocking then you may be on the range where the PSU may be a stability issue, as your rig spec could draw 400w at peak or more.

Just giving you an Idea of what to buy, things are cheaper over there anyway :)
The 450w PSU will be ok without daft amounts of HDs/optical drives etc. as long as you don't start overclocking. But then why else would you buy an opteron ;)

Umm... had a bit too much sugar tonight?

Well I do intend to overclock it but I do not intend to have more than one optical drive or one HDD. I also do not intend to o/c my gfx either as this rig is going to be a massive upgrade to my current shuttle.
