Just after some opinions really, i have collected some of this stuff and will be making a new base unit. the only thing i havent decided on yet is a graphics card.

ASUS M2N32-SLI Wireless Edition Motherboard
AMD X2 4800+ CPU
2GB Corsair DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX
Hiper Modular 580 Watt PSU
2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA-II Hard Drives
Sound Blaster Audigy 4 (cheap but better than on board sound)

Not sure to go for a Geforce 7950GX2 or one 7900GTX?

7900GTX at the moment, then upgrade to a DX10 card

Looks good, probably better off with audigy 4 , ive kept the audigy from my old system to whack in my conroe build, seems to be a lot of problems with the new creative line, plus its over priced imo.

As for graphics card id say it depends on what size screen your gonna be using, if uve got a big ass tft to drive get the 7950x2 if not get the cheaper option.

I got a very similar setup a few days ago (see sig) but I haven't really been able to try it out yet since the graphics card is dead. There's been loads of reports of problems with 7900GTXs failing so if you have the money I'd go for the 7950 GX2 purely from a stability point of view. I'm not sure whether it has the same issues as the 7900, but I haven't heard about any yet.
