After having a rather depressing month (not going into that here, its more suited to GD!), I have decided that spending some money (got to love retail therapy) is a good idea, and a new rig would be a nice passtime (i enjoy the building and setting up of them, tidying the cables etc etc). That however isn't to say my current rig is actually out of date, so i'm unsure as to what to actually get or even if its worthwhile
Current spec:
A64 X2 3800+ @ 4400+ speeds
Abit AN8-SLi
1GB Corsair XMS PRO
2 x 7800GT 512MB cards
I was thinking going Core 2 Duo (probably an E6600), and an asus P5N32-SLi. I'd probably keep my GFX setup until DX10 cards hit (unless i get real twitchy fingers, and opt for quad-sli as soon as its stable).
Unsure on what RAM to go for, and I fancy a new case (currently on a Coolermaster ATCS-201 silver-widow), but as for cases, I generally go for simple looks (like the old coolermasters).
Any suggestions? Do I even bother? what about PSU's?
