Hey all just joined up to the forum you probably get asked this all the time but could some of you give me advice on what to get for my system. My budget is £1200 before VAT and i want a 500gig hardrive 2gb ram and 8800gtx graphics card if any of u could help me out on the rest or *** type of ram to get etc would be great cheers! :)

Just one question *** is the point of spending a lot of money on the smaller hard drive could have a terrabyte for that and the other one?
 
Because the 'smaller' hard drive is a Raptor X, which is fastest hard drive you can buy. If you install windows and all your applications on this drive, they will load very quickly. The larger drive is for storage, so pics, mp3, mpeg4, that sort of thing.
 
ahh i see thanks a lot for you're help will get underway in buying it now :) Sorry to keep asking questions total noob at pc's but was looking at the new windows vista operating system and i have seen that there are several types of the operating system available. What one would you recommend? many thanks

just a couple more questions before i buy the gear :) the cables for the hard drives etc already comes with it because i saw there were categories on overclockers where they could be bought seperatly? one more thing does my graphics card need a cooler? Also is it worth gettin a phys x acclerator or waiting a little longer and also which tv card do u recommend becuase gonna chuck out the tele for the pc! :) And sorry for being a pain :(
