Going to start a new build, some people might have read thread in memory forums.

Think itll be something like a
c2d 4300 (going to overclock)
£70-£90 for a mobo, suggestions?
geil 2gb ddr2 (will this be compatible etc with the motherboard?its on offer so fast:D, as ill order it 2nite if i get recommended it in a spec)
2x250 WD SATA-IIs(already own these)
1x400gb seagate 7200.100 SATA-II
320mb 8800GTS (obviously waiting till theyr out)

thermaltake PSU, truepower cable management, over 500W, not sure atm, getting it on the cheap though :)

get the geil on offer.

and get this:

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

with the e4300 chip.

:)

the 650s are around the same price as the DS3 aint they?
Id heard some good comments about them, and less so much about the DS3 lately, is the DS3 better for the overclocks etc?
ill definatly get the 4300 and overclock it as far as i can push it, im even going to up the volts :O iv never dared up them on my overclocks before, i just quit when i hit the max fsb without volt increase :p

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) worth getting?

its amazingly cheap at the mo too :) lol
Wonder if theres anything else ill be sticking in my basket out of those offers then. Im not planning on buying the full rig now, I just figured may aswell get some bits n bobs while they're cheapo

As for the mobo, I would go for a Asus P5N-E SLi. Uses the nForce 650 chipset. Solid board for overclocking, there is a very large thread about it in the mobo section.

Not sure about the Geil. Havnt read anything about the Geil been used on the P5N-E SLI, will have to check the mobo thread.

Cpu wise, there is also a big thread in the cpu section on the E4300. Its a good overclocking cpu, but it seems that you can get better overclocks from the E6300 but would have to get good clocking fsb board and ram. On the mobo side of things the P5N-E SLI is perfect on a budget but your ram wouldnt be I dont think.

With the E4300 having a higher multi, not as fast ram is needed, you might be better of going one with a E4300 over the E6300.

Other than that, it seems to be a good system.

I said i was going to go with the 4300 :s

Yea I know ;)

Just giving you options if you were to change the ram. You could get better overclocks from a E6300.

well ill buy that ram since its dirt cheap and the arctic freezer CPU cooler since they'r both on offer, and it leaves me to decide on CPU in a few weeks. Thanks :) ill post another thread if a CPU comes on offer :P haha
