Hi all! Been reading through the forum and have found that it has helped me no end, so far that is. As yous can probably gather i am building a new rig to replace my P4 3.0 ghz 7600gt agp dinosaur.

I have a grand to spend. I may be able to stretch it a little. I have decided on a rig based around these bits.

The rest I am really unsure about. I will be over clocking the 6600 (quality heat sink & fan needed) and Graphics. I would like at least 2gb of memory. I already have mouse keyboard and speakers.

The rig will be mainly used for gaming.

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Thanks for the advice. It is surprising what you can get for a grand nowadays :)

One thing i am a little confused with is memory. Wouldn't it be worth me splashing a little more to get this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-093-CR&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=

Graphics wise: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-074-HT&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat= It is only 25 quid or so more than the leadtek, again is it worth it??

Basically with these two changes, it will take me up to around £1100 - £1150. I will stretch to this only if it is worth it. This would be my maximum as I would have to rain in some bday funds from my missus in advance. :D

Thanks all. I only went to eat my chinese, yous have been busy. I understand very little of it tho :o Think i am going to stick with the spec laid out by stickroad and Billy. Doesn't seem like it is worth the extra expense as i am oc ing. Thanks once again
