AMD-P2955 AMD QUAD CORE PHENOM II X4 955 BLACK EDITION 3.2GHZ
Gigabyte SKT-AM3 GA-880GM-UD2H Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

OCZ-S6002 OCZ STEALTHXSTREAM2 600W

harddrive, dvdrw and case for another £60 from a mate.
total cost of build: £420

what do the people think? im on a budget and dis was the best i can do.

i was thinkin about overclocking but i hav not got a aftermarket cpu is dis an issue? and wat will be the recommended overclock on this system?
thanks

thats a fantastic rig for £420. its pretty much what would be suggested from here, prehaps with a few brand changes to save a few pounds.

overclocking might be possible with the standard cooler, but when you hear how loud it is at standard i really doubt you would want to.

i have exactly the same processor and cooler, and when i run anything CPU intensive the cooler can be heard from almost every room in the house

The only thing i'd change with that build is the psu, i suppose it's down to personal preference, just evey ocz psu i've had, has died or been rma'ed within a week

the pc im buyin comes wiv evrytng so i will *** No Mentioning of Auction Sites *** rest off the parts. *** No Trading outside MM *** and put howeva much i get from it towards a new cpu cooler. ne budget recommendations?

i read sum reviews on the ocz and they all sed good things. apparently it evn runs higher than 600w. Eiva way iv already got it so the return postage would be very expensive, got 3 years warranty on it so aint too fussed.

Also am very eager to build pc, cnt w8 2 send it bak and w8 4 anova 1. got everytng else and mobo gna b here 2mo, enuff xcited!!

You can't mention competitor sites here, just a heads up :).

*** Please don't quote others that do :p ***
Go for this PSU instead: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-148-AN

Good solid system for gaming. (Shame about the English!):D The Sapphire card is very good. You'll be fine with that PSU too.

Get yourself a reasonable cooler and get overclocking. Should get yourself to 3.6GHz with very little trouble.

Lol, apologies for the mentioning of auction sites, competitors and the use of English. As you can probably tell I am new to the forum and I am used to writing in text/slang language.

Yes i already do have the OCZ power supply, I was just reading the box of the power supply and it states it has a 20+4-pin ATX connector however my motherboard is a MicroATX and has an 8-pin connector. Is this an issue or are they the same thing.

Really killed my mood. :(

grrr i dont wanna be reading that i just put 1 in mine....lol

Don't worry, I bought mine used 2 years ago and it's still going albeit the fan is a bit noisy sometimes.
