New Rig?

Q6600
6GB
GTX 285

Thinking of reusing this for a (slight noisey) HTPC and getting a new rig.

Don't really play games so thought maybe a nice quiet rig with AMD APU chip, will that give me a decent performance boost or just keep using that and go for a cheap as chips rig for HTPC?

If you're not really gaming, then leave it I say.

Maybe stick a cheap, silent htpc card like a 6450 and be done.
Or build a new htpc?

A new AMD cpu/igp would be a good alternative like you say if you want to build something.
