I have a DSL-2780 router. I am currently trying to set it up to host terraria/minecraft and CSS. My last router worked fine but sadly died and my internet provider sent this as a replacment.
I looked on the port forwarding website for details on how to do this.
Lets take minecraft for instance, others are basically the same setup.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DSL-2780/Minecraft_Server.htm
When i fill in that forum, i get the error
"The private ip you input should be a right ip format and should be on the lan side and the private ip that you input must be different from your devices lan ip address".
What does this mean? I know what it says, but i dont understand it.
Iv googled and asked on numerous forums but no answer. I recently posted on the portforward forum but they seem to be inactive on a lot of topics so i thought id try here.
